A New York minute
If you’ve ever wondered what a New York minute feels like… I think I just lived one.
In and out of Manhattan in roughly 36 hours, and the experience was a wonderful blur of business, restlessness, and holiday magic.
Columbus Circle
My trip north to the Big Apple started with a true bucket-list moment: the NY Times DealBook Summit hosted by the venerable Andrew Ross Sorkin.
DealBook exceeded every expectation. A day of unguarded interviews with some of the world’s most consequential leaders across business, technology, and industry. All live on stage.
Watch the DealBook Summit in… one minute.
Wall Street
Then it was over to the New York Stock Exchange, where I joined Nicole Petallides for Opening Bell.
The energy in that building is unmatched.
Midtown
From there, I hopped into the Fox Business studio for a live segment on Making Money with Charles Payne.
Charles Payne is a man of the people and absolutely hilarious off camera.
The holidays are here
The big city lights are always electric, but the spirit around the city was buzzing on another level – the holidays and Christmas tree lighting at Rockefeller Center will do that.
This truly is the most magical part of the year. The atmosphere shifts almost overnight, carrying a quiet but undeniable sense of excitement. The parties and Eggnog. Wreaths hanging in the windows. Advent calendars ripped to shreds. And once the lights are up around the neighborhood, the feeling becomes undeniable.
Amid the chaos of life and work, I’m genuinely grateful for these opportunities. These episodic chances to contribute – to share insights, to be invited onto these networks – aren’t lost on me.
For me, it was a true New York minute, and I loved every moment of it.
Happy holidays.
That’s all for today.
